Gail Tobes crowned as Miss Manila 2017

Northern Samar lass, Maria Gail Devora Tobes, emerged victorious among 40 contestants as she was crowned as Miss Manila 2017 last June 24, 2017 at the PICC Plenary Hall. 

She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Eastern Philippines and is currently a practising licensed veterinarian. She is also a Bb. Pilipinas 2017 alumna.

On the final question, she was asked what she thinks is the biggest problem that the Manila youth is currently facing. She answered: "I think the biggest problem that we are facing today, not only the youth but also the city and the community is the 'ethical' misunderstanding."

"We are from different religions raised by different families, and we have different views. We just need to respect each other so that we could all live together." She said.

Aside from the crown and title, she also won special awards like Miss Horizon and Best in Swimsuit.
