Queens for the 119th Philippine Independence Celebration in NYC

Three of our Alpha Queens flew to New York for the 119th Philippine Independence Day Celebration, headed by the Philippine Independence Day Council, in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General of New York, Philippine Tourism Board Promotions and NeoColors Productions.

Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Universe 2015 and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa were accompanied by their mentors, Aces and Queens' Jonas Gaffud and Arnold Mercado.

Before the day of the parade, the celebrities in attendance for the said event had a press conference and a meet and greet with the Filipino community in New York.

EMPIRE STATE OF MIND

On the morning of June 4, the parade was held along the 38th - 27th streets of Madison Avenue in Manhattan. But before getting on their float, our queens showed that they got some good humor too.

Our queens looked chic, classy and sophisticated in their PiƱa suits made by Cherry Veric.

And off they go on to the parade.

It drizzled but it didn't stop our queens from having fun in the parade.

Beauty with a purpose.

Confidently beautiful with a heart.

Culture, education and international understanding.

Squeezed in for a powerful groufie.

Can you spot our queens?

The parade ended peacefully and was followed by a cultural show with guest performers Mikey Bustos, American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez, and other talented Pinoys based in New York.

Mabuhay ang Gandang Pinay! Mabuhay ang lahing Pilipino!

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
